Backsberg Jazz Season - Side Effect
The March concert in the Backsberg Jazz Season features Stellenbosch group Side Effect
Backsberg’s Jazz Season runs from January to June 2009, featuring a different band on the last Friday of every month. The featured band for March is Side Effect.
Side Effect is a well-known four-piece band from Stellenbosch who like to mix it up a bit. They play with genres and blend styles, all the while remembering their jazz roots.
Lounge room jazz meets unconventional wisdom. All of the musicians are widely experienced and well saturated in the South African music scene.
Relax in the beautiful gardens – choose a table under the Oak trees, or bring a blanket to spread on the lawn.
Relax and enjoy our Backsberg’s delicious Mediterranean platters and Backsberg wines against the backdrop of fine jazz music.
The Backsberg Mediterranean Platters consist of:
Freshly baked Ciabata Bread filled with slices of Spit Roasted Lamb; Italian-style cured meats and delicious cheeses matched with preserves; Sun-dried tomatoes, olives, feta, and a trio of home-made dips served with savoury biscuits and farm-style bread; as well as seasonal fruit skewers.
Backsberg wines will be available for purchase as well.
