Bespoke menus, wine pairings, and timeless interiors
What sets the Cape Winelands Film Festival apart from the many other film festivals worldwide is their distinctive approach to film programming, committed celebrity guests and friendly leisurely pace. You will have plenty of time to enjoy the wine country's amenities.
There are even special barrel tastings held! Most nights there is live entertainment before the feature film begins in the amphitheatre. Some nights you might glimpse a celebrity guest mingling informally with festival goers.
Imagine yourself in South Africa's world famous vacation spot, the Stellenbosch Wine Valley, just a 45 minute drive from Cape Town, where locals and visitors alike converge during the wine country's biggest celebration of world cinema.
You are sitting under the stars in an open air theater venue, sipping good wine, savouring seasonal South African cuisine and socialising with new and old friends.
Dozens of festivities will be on the go, ranging from open-air film screenings to educational talks on film, workshops with famous film directors, informal receptions with guest celebrities to over a dozen cooking demos, live entertainment, barrel tastings and fun for all ages.
Imagine being in Stellenbosch, where the oak-lined Dorp Street is home to museums and galleries as well as many student cafes and restaurants, all buzzing with film buffs.
Now, stop imagining and make sure that you are apart of this must anticipated annual Film Festival in the heart of the Winelands.
