On Broadway offers theatre goers delicious pre-show meals with a wallet-friendly price tag. Spend a night eating drinking and being merry in the good company of On Broadway’s performers.
On Broadway’s established dinner and theatre concept is a significant departure from the more formal theatre going atmosphere at larger more traditional Cape Town theatres.
On Broadway’s intimate theatre offer all the pleasures of the theatre - polished entertainment with great quality lighting and sound - in a comfortable environment.
The Cape Town theatre has hosted the likes of many well-known South African performers like Cokey Falkow, Pieter-Dirk Uys and Kurt Schoonraad, as well as many international performers.
It doesn’t hurt that they serve up not only first-rate theatre productions, but also a variety of fine food.
Take your seat an hour or two before the show to enjoy a delicious meal, afterwards there is no need to rush off to make curtain call – just sit back in your chair and enjoy the show.
The menu at On Broadway offers a wide variety of foods – from burgers to chicken curry - you’ll find something to suite every taste. Starter options include lighter-than-light options like Pate of the Day with a selection of breads and biscuits to taste bud tingling calamari and rice.
The main meal options cater from those looking for well-known classic meals to those wanting something a little more indulgent. Fussy eaters will be satisfied with the basic, but tasty cheese burger and those with a little more adventure can try a platter of tasty meat balls, spring rolls, and chicken strips or a full roast leg of lamb.
The dessert menu offers old comfort food favourites like malva pudding, baked cheese cake, and sticky toffee pudding. Finish off your meal with a pot of tea and or a cup of coffee and you’ll be more than ready to welcome the performers on stage.
The service at On Broadway is quick, friendly and unobtrusive, so you’ll have plenty of time to chat to those at your table without constant interruptions from the waiter.
