Four weekly specials to warm the belly for winter
The J&B Met 2009, with its flashy glitz and glam theme, took place on 31 January 2009. The 2009 J&B Met winner was Pocket Power, who has now won three successive J&B Mets. Runner-up was Dancer's Daughter.
General Entrance tickets for the J&B Met cost R150 each and gives you access to Kenilworth Racecourse only and not to any of the reserved areas in the buildings and the marquee village.
J&B Met 2009 tickets went on sale from 1 December 2008, and included in the ticket price is a R10 betting voucher and a voucher that can be exchanged for your J&B™ Met Race card once the race card goes on sale from 23 January 2009. The race card is jam-packed with useful information about betting as well as J&B™ Met Day activities. Ticket sales venues can be found at the official J&B met website.
A contribution from each ticket sold will be going towards funding the pristine tract of Cape Fynbos in the middle of the racecourse , which will soon to be declared a National Conservation Area due to its conservation significance which includes a number of protected species of both fauna and flora.
Whether you go to dress and impress, bet on horses and enjoy the races or just party the day away with your friends, the J&B Met is definitely one of the biggest fashion and horse racing events in South Africa where you’ll want to be seen.
