Gauteng's second host city offers games at Loftus Versfeld Stadium
The city of Tshwane (Pretoria) found in the Gauteng Province, is an exciting blend of cultures where the old and new is mixed in such a way to create its own unique culture.
The Loftus Versfeld soccer stadium will be used for the event.
This is the fantastic home of Mamelodi Sundowns, one of South Africa’s premier professional soccer teams.
The stadium will need only slight alterations to be ready for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
It will hold 50,000 supporters once completed in December 2008.
The World Cup will see six fixtures being played in Tshwane during 2010, five group matches and one of the games in the knock out stages of the final sixteen.
The Loftus Versfeld Stadium will also host matches in the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup.
