For something completely different, dine aboard the beautiful Museum Ship, C.S.Cable Restorer, permanently moored in picturesque Simons Town
The C.S. Cable Restorer is a cable repair ship built by Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson at the Neptune Works, Newcastle-on-Tyne. She was one of five sister ships built between 1939 and 1945.
From 1994 to 1998 she was home to 200 boarders from Simon’s Town Maritime school, and is now the spectacular venue of the “Roaring Forties Restaurant”.
