UK indie heavyweights set to rock the Cape
Noordhoek is where the Fun is
Surfing, Kite flying and Horseback riding in - Noordhoek beach has it all
In between Noordhoek and Kommetjie lies Noordhoek Beach, an unspoiled stretch of pearly white beach embraced by wetlands. This 8 km long beach, the Cape's widest beach, is perfect for horse riding, kite flying, kite surfing, romantic beach walks, jogging, sand castle building and other family fun, angling, serious surfing and body boarding.
About half way between Noordhoek and Kommetjie lays the remains of the 'Kakapo' shipwreck, preserved in the sand since 1900. The captain was so confused by the deceiving foggy coastline, that he turned towards the beach by mistake and came so far onto it that the crew hardly got their feet wet as they stepped off.
Activities on Noordhoek Beach: horseback riding, kite surfing, kiting, body boarding, surfing, family fun, sun bathing, jogging, beach walks, angling.
