Whilst taking a stroll up Kloof Street, we discovered a wealth of unique stores, where you can find one-of-a-kind t-shirts, Czech crystal, 60’s inspired furniture and homegrown wine that you wouldn’t find at your average supermarket. Mozzarella Bar
Giorgio Nava's new venture is the first Mozarella bar to open in South Africa. Choose a ham, tomato and mozarella panzerotto or sink your teeth into a deep-fried fior de latte sarnie from their uncomplicated and healthy menu.

This store is for men of all ages who refuse to wear black clothing. This funky store stocks sunglasses, high top 70’s sneakers and statement hats in all the colours of the rainbow. You’ll have all the boys whispering, ‘Where did he get that?’, if you step out in one of their Araina one-of-a-kind t-shirts, or a hoodie from Subconscious or Bunny Bunch. Check out the trendy speakers across the back wall, which will have you dancing round the shop.

Wardrobe is a vintage mecca for female fashion lovers who want to add a glamorous statement to their wardrobe. Wardrobe sell designs under their own label, also named Wardrobe, and the owner plays a strong roll in the design process. The store also stocks Moth, a label which typically uses vintage leather and reworks from upholstery fabrics, and Meeks Knickers, a label which originates from East London.

Love Project
Love Project is a cute shop with an even cuter owner, Lize Engelbrecht, that will bring a splash of colour to your life, during the grey winter months. Love Project is a non-profit organization, opened in 2006, that offers skills training and creates job opportunities for the unemployed, through a number of projects. This idyllic store sells products from over 60 different community projects such as, key rings made at the Agape Refugee Centre, Cape Town, and felt hearts and animals made at the Heartfelt Project, in Makapaanstad.
