Two mega brands unite to bring a massive conference to the Mother City. Breathe Sunshine African Music Conference and Moshito Music Conference & Exhibition have partnered up for the next three years in a bid to unite the African music industry. The Breathe Sunshine African Music Conference will take place at the Protea Hotel Fire & Ice! on Wednesday, 30 September and Thursday, 1 October 2015.
Presented by Mother City entertainment companies Black Mango and Seed Experiences, the conference coincides with Cape Town Music Week and aims to bring the country’s entertainment industry together to share knowledge and inspiration to benefit the industry. The conference is expected to attract not only local talent but also delegates from the rest of Africa and abroad.
Many artists struggle to make it big in the local music industry, and so are forced to take their talent overseas or give up entirely. The conference hopes to bring in professionals from all facets of the entertainment world to give valuable insight into their work via talks on how to succeed.
You will have the opportunity to network and connect with various industry giants at this conference, as well as exchange and share ideas and trends. The conference also has workshops, discussions, showcases, interviews and networking parties.
“This partnership between our organisations allows for the best utilising of skills and thought leadership to drive our music industry forward,” says Moshito Chairperson Sipho Sithole. “We will work as a united front, harnessing our combined strengths to make a positive impact in the lives of artists in our country,” he adds.
