Saturday Psyde Show ft. Bizzare Contact
A “Bizzare” encounter at Cape Town’s latest trance club
The annual Cape Town Pride Festival is a celebration of our wonderful diversity, and also creates awareness around issues impacting on the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex communities locally and throughout Africa.
The 2010 Cape Town Pride Festival is scheduled to commence on 26 February and run until 7 March 2010.
No Pride Festival would be complete without the Cape Town Pride Pageant on the 20 Feb - a most glamorous affair - which kicks off the Festival, Mr and Miss Cape Town Pride will be crowned after an evening of glittering entertainment. VIP guests will be treated to the best seats in the House, with complimentary wine and snacks.
The 26 February gives us Red Pride - a hugely successful regular on the Pride calendar and traditionally the grand opening of the Pride annual Festival - this is one party not to be missed, Red is the colour and HIV Awareness the theme. Popular DJ's will be on the deck to help you dance the night away.
There are other great events planned for the Cape Pride 2010, everything from a full moon hike, a Pride book fair, an art exhibition, a beach picnic, a sports day and of course the Pride Parade.
The Pride Parade through the centre of the Mother City is as always, the highlight of the Pride Festival. Once again the Parade will comprise of a procession of fabulous floats, and marchers which will include wonderfully costumed drag queens, dykes on bikes, leather men, muscle Marys, as well as the boy & girl next door. Approximately 5000 walkers and onlookers make this the biggest event on the Pride Calendar.
