As the sage of Sauvignon Blanc, it’s Bartho’s job to taste some 104 Sauvignon Blancs from all over South Africa.
Some guys have all the luck, but they also have a big responsibility. Ever tried tasting your way through 104 wines? His task is challenging. His brief to himself? To pare them down to wines scoring 77.5% or more, based on 266 different criteria to present a professional tasting panel with the wine selection from which they’ll “taste down” to the Top 10 Sauvignon Blancs going into the Celebration in December.
Gerard is Hermanuspietersfontein Wynkelder’s Chief Event Coordinator and it’s his pleasant task to make sure that everything that must happen, happens, to make the celebration run smoothly for everyone who will be enjoying this experience at Hermanuspietersfontein.
The Warwick Chef School has been planning and sampling their catch for weeks already to present a 7 star seafood extravaganza for the celebration evening. Warwick's chefs are on their toes, in their Crocs, because only the best seafood can follow wines of celebration stature.
