6th Wacky Wine Weekend in Cape Town's Robertson Wine Valley

A weekend with wine and good friends - nothing could be better

With over 16 000 visitors in 2008, the Wacky Wine Weekend is undeniably South Africa's biggest regional wine festival.

From 4 - 7 June 2009 the festival celebrates its 6th birthday and the Robertson Wine Valley is proud to once again play host.

The festival spans the valley with activities taking place at cellar doors and other hot spots; and includes food & wine, outdoor, sport, adventure, family-fun and live music.

In 2009 some changes will be introduced which will assist us in providing you with a better wine and lifestyle experience.

Most notably will be the focused approach to the responsible service of wine with the launching of our Designated Driver program, increased focus on the Buddy Bus and close cooperation with the local law inforcement authorities.

Arabella Wine Estate Made Fresh by Clorets brings you ‘Arabella Live’ from 5 - 7 June 2009, a weekend of live music, great food, fun atmosphere and wine, lots of wine.

Visitors to the estate will be treated to some of South Africa’s top live entertainment including Flat Stanley, Farryl Purkiss, Hot Water and 7th Son. In addition the estate will be offering gourmet catering through Dish Food and Social and providing camping facilities for overnight stays.

Much as we all enjoy this wine festival, it is important that we do so in a save and responsible manner.

Too crowded?
We've got some good news: The organizers have decided to start the festival a day earlier (Thursday) with the theme "Seriously Wine". From now on this day will be dedicated to small groups who will be able to enjoy special master tastings, educational sessions and 1-on-1 interactions with our winemakers.

As always all visitors need to purchase their passport (R60) at their first port of call. The stylish tasting glass will serve as your ticket to wineries and is valid for the duration of the festival.
