The Artscape Women's Festival is breaking new ground from the 7th – 9th August, showcasing an array of dazzling talent to keep you entertained with a difference.
This Woman’s Day, the Artscape theatre’s annual Women’s Festival has a bumper programme filled with something for everyone, from comedy to dance to music and fashion.
Award winning British comedian Francesca Martinez as well as other great performers will be sure to keep you fully entertained during this evening celebrating Women in South Africa.
Francesca Martinez has performed around the world, made numerous TV appearances and performed for the likes of Nelson Mandela.
Every year the Women’s festival runs with a theme, this year the theme is Woman and Disability.
It runs throughout the inspiring performances and highlights the need to work towards a positive view of difference.
The Women’s festival is a catalyst and platform for empowering women’s organizations like the Disability Workshop Development Enterprise.

During the Women’s Festival week we are providing a space for women and parents living with children with disabilities to unwind and be fully immersed in the festivities.
The Women’s Festival will be showcasing dance productions, a photographic exhibition and a dazzling performance by Vicky Samson - through her striking lyrics she is encouraging women to celebrate and honour their power.
You will see how fashion meets women's development as a ready-to-wear women's clothing range at the launch of the non-profit Disability Workshop Development Enterprise (DWDE).
