Auction with Heart with Charity Wines and Healing Heart
This charity event in Cape Town is in its second year and is fast becoming one of Cape Town's best-known charity events
Charity Wines is a unique social enterprise that raises funds through the sale of donated wine from 50 wine farms. It is another successful social enterprise by Healing Heart, who use business models to help to solve social problems.
Charity Wines will celebrate its second anniversary this April with a fun-filled, entertaining and cause-driven charity event in Cape Town that is open to everyone who wants to have fun, meet great people, enjoy fabulous food by the beach and raise funds through a fantastic auction.
The profits from the auction go straight to the beneficiaries, who are NGOs relevant to the wine industry. Beneficiaries include Little Angels, Pebbles, FASfaq and Association for the Sensory Disabled.
To date, almost R500,000 has been raised through the sale of donated wines. To raise awareness and increase sales, a number of associated events across the Western Cape are being held.
The first event is the Auction with Heart, commencing 19h00 on 2 April at the Summerville Restaurant in Camps Bay, Cape Town.
The auction, which begins after a fine 4-course meal, will be the fundraising arm of the evening, with some fantastic items on offer going under the hammer. Items include international cricket tickets, a signed Springbok jersey, fine wine and many more surprises!
