Candlelight Cellar Concert

Hermanuspietersfontein Wynkelder is hosting a Candlelight Cellar Concert to celebrate Christmas and its recently-awarded BWI Championship status

Lovers of classical music can expect a supreme performance by a dynamic duo – renowned soprano Sabina Mossolow accompanied on the piano by Cape Town Opera Chorus Master Albert Horne.

Well-known actress Wilna Snyman will read poetry.

Proceeds from this event go to the Overberg Conservation Foundation (OCF) and Camphill Farm Community.

Reminiscing on the many concerts she presented in Onrusrivier at the home of Dirkie de Villiers, Sabina will sing Christmas songs from around the globe as well as her favourite Afrikaans Christmas songs composed by Dirkie de Villiers and Pieter de Villiers.

Anya Tiepelt from Hermanus will play the violin obbligato in Max Reger’s “Maria Wiegenlied”.

To end this special evening on a convivial and interactive note the audience will light candles and join Sabina in singing classic Christmas carols.
