Experience the Overberg at its most beautiful – the time of year when canola fields cover the hills with patches of yellow flowers.

The Canola Fees must be high on the list of the things to do in Swellendam.

The Canola Fees (Fees is Afrikaans for Party or Function) Festival kicks off with a cycle tour through the canola fields around Swellendam.

Festival activities take place on the Swellendam showgrounds, entertainment is provided by local musicians.

Other things to expect are exhibitions, arts and crafts market, bus tours through the canola fields, and much more.

Fun for the whole family this weekend, including the kids! Go and enjoy this unique festival – only a two hour drive from Cape Town along the N2 highway.
