Visitors to the 2009 Cape Town Night Market can enjoy a unique shopping experience. The market is one of Cape Town’s biggest events, with over 190 stalls. This year it is expected to draw about 600 000 visitors during the 14-day period from 17 – 30 December (excluding Christmas Day).
Visitors can expect a fun-filled day for the whole family, with roving magicians, mimes, local live music, entertainment and the best local cuisine that the city has to offer. In addition the tradition of caroling will see Adderley Street come alive on Christmas Eve.

It serves not just as a source of entertainment and revelry, but as a platform for showcasing local cuisine, talent and arts and crafts - For the full experience of Cape Town’s cultural diversity, it is unmatched.
