Visitors to the 2009 Cape Town Night Market can enjoy a unique shopping experience. The market is one of Cape Town’s biggest events, with over 190 stalls. This year it is expected to draw about 600 000 visitors during the 14-day period from 17 – 30 December (excluding Christmas Day).

Visitors can expect a fun-filled day for the whole family, with roving magicians, mimes, local live music, entertainment and the best local cuisine that the city has to offer. In addition the tradition of caroling will see Adderley Street come alive on Christmas Eve.

Since its inception, the Cape Town Night Market has been a significant influence on the evolution of the city’s night life to a buzzing delight during the Festive Season.
