CapeTalk Celebrates Nelson Mandela's 90th Birthday
A celebration of our former president Madiba's birthday in Cape Town
In a special tribute to Nelson Mandela on his birthday, '567 CapeTalk' talk show host Soli Philander will broadcast live from Market Square, while Capetonians, can join breakfast show host, Aden Thomas on the Amphitheatre stage to share their Madiba Stories and record their birthday messages for Madiba.
All of the special birthday proceedings will be recorded to make a virtual birthday card for Madiba and onlookers will be encouraged to sign a birthday banner as well.
Local artist Poseletso will perform her new song “Madiba Nine-O”, other performers will be the Simon Estes Choir and the amaAmbush marimba band.
The Happy Birthday song will be sung by the performers and audience at 14h30pm, to be broadcase live on 567 CapeTalk.
