Encounters South African International Documentary Festival

The 2018 Encounters South African International Documentary Festival returns for the 20th year to keep cinephiles glued to screens in Cape Town and Johannesburg from Thursday, 31 May to Sunday, 10 June 2018. The Mother City leg of the premier fiesta will screen at the iconic Labia Theatre as well as at the Ster Kinekor Cinema Nouveau at the V&A Waterfront.

As always, the documentary festival will feature prize-winning and award-nominated films selected from hundreds of submissions from across the globe. This stellar line-up is set to include a collection of profound and inspiring African-themed and international documentaries, some of which will be screened for the first time, both in Africa and the world.

TICKETS FOR THE 2018 ENCOUNTERS SOUTH AFRICAN INTERNATIONAL DOCUMENTARY FESTIVAL

The Cape Town leg of the film festival screens at the Ster Kinekor Cinema Nouveau at the V&A Waterfront and The Labia. Tickets are available via Cinemanouveau.co.za and Webtickets as well as at the Labia’s box office. Tickets cost R60/p.
