The 1st National Festival of Golf in South Africa will again take place along the Garden Route
The 2008 National Festival of Golf will be played on 11 world class golf courses.
The IAGTO voted the Garden Route as the ‘Best Golf Tourism Destination in Africa and the Middle East’, and the First National Festival of golf will provide the opportunity to entertain friends and clients, meet business colleagues and interact with various celebrities.
The festival comprises of 41 Golf days with prize givings and 2 award ceremonies at the luxurious Fancourt.
A new addition for 2007 was the amazing Pinnacle Point, and and Fancourt Outeniqua was also open for play.
Promised for 2008 are great value for money, as well as great prizes up for grabs - drivers, putters, bags, shoes, all inclusive golf holidays and many more. lots of entertainment. Golf Only packages are available
The festival provides golf enthusiasts from around the country and the world the opportunity to play on some of the finest courses in Africa and to participate in the biggest event of its kind in Africa. The venue is Africa’s Golf Capital, the spectacular Garden Route.
The festival is aimed at amateur golfers who appreciate spending quality time on the course with friends, colleagues and clients. The festival is ideally suited for companies to entertain their clients while having fun.
Daily competitions are played at each course for the duration of the festival and participants will also compete in the 2 overall competitions, the FNB/Bells Challenge and the FNB/Taylor Made Challenge.
Lots of evening fun is provided with the highlight being the gala award evenings where competition winners are announced. In 2006 the event doubled in size and the +- 850 golfers played +- 2600 rounds of golf.
In 2008 golfers will be offered the choice to play on 11 different courses with Pezula, Simola, Oubaai and Montagu being the most popular!
