Goldfish Concert at Kirstenbosch

This special concert hosted by Old Mutual and Kirstenbosch as a fundraiser for the Kirstenbosch-South Africa Chelsea Flower Show

Highly popular Goldfish (or the "Fishies" as they are fondly known to their legions of fans) is Dominic Peters and David Poole. Hailing from the Mother City, these unassuming surfer/jazz musicians and electronic maniacs are one of the most exciting live electronica acts in the world.

And what better way to raise funds than by getting Goldfish on Stage?

Kirstenbosch lost its sponsor for the Kirstenbosch-South Africa Chelsea Flower Show exhibit.

In order to continue the 33-year tradition of taking an exhibit to the Chelsea Flower Show, Kirstenbosch is arranging this fund-raiser, along with a raffle.

Raffle tickets cost R500 and a maximum of 200 tickets are being sold. The winner (and each raffle ticket stands a 1/200 chance of winning!) receives a flight to London, three nights accommodation in Chelsea and an entry ticket to the Chelsea Flower Show.

With the South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI) having no official sponsor for the Chelsea Flower Show exhibit, this additional concert will raise badly needed funds to send a South African exhibit to what is known as the floral “Olympics” – the Royal Horticultural Society’s Chelsea Flower Show from 19 to 23 May.

The proceeds of the fund-raisers will assist in showcasing South Africa’s plant diversity on this global platform.

Mark your diary for Sunday April 12 with this perfect opportunity to enjoy the last in the summer sunset concerts and support the SANBI exhibit to Chelsea as well as ensuring its re-display on home ground.
