Jazz, Food and Wine at Backsberg Estate Cellars
Backsberg Estate so enjoyed their first music evening last month that they have decided to do it again!
Backsberg Estate invites you to join them in their beautiful garden, to choose a table under the oak trees or bring your blanket to spread out on the lawn.
Side Effect, a four piece jazz band will set the tone, with highly skilled musicians on double bass, trumpet, drums and keyboard.
This Stellenbosch group puts a fresh face on everything they touch, from remixing jazz standards in a lounge oriented style, to jazzing up lesser known tunes from the Balkans or even totally different genres such as reggae or classical music.
These highly skilled musicians also draw strongly on funk and Latin influences. They dish up an ever surprising, ever evolving array of sounds.
With Marko Petrovski on bass, Adriaan Brand on trumpet, Nelville Arnolds on drums and Ramon Alexander on keyboard/piano.
