The John Russell Trio are performing swing and Latin Jazz classics
John Russell started playing guitar at the age of thirteen. After exploring many different musical styles he immersed himself in the study of Jazz guitar under the mentorship of Jazz guitarist Alvin Dyers.
John has performed with some of South Africa's finest musicians such as Errol Dyers, Emily Bruce, Lionel Beukes, the late Nick le Roux, Wesley Rustin, Denver Furness and Abigail Peterson in Cape Town’s top venues.
Erin's pure voice and inspired interpretations of classic old school Jazz standards are refreshingly melodic and musical, yet modern enough to appeal to a widespread audience.
Basil Moses was born in District Six in Cape Town where he was part of the vibrant cultural scene of the time.
