Summer concerts at Kirstenbosch Gardens are a definite highlight on the Cape Town events calendar. And don’t have to be Sherlock Holmes to figure out why with SA’s favourite music acts and one on the sprawling lawns of one of the world’s top three Botanical Gardens.

Sunday 5th February - Flash Republic / Foto Na Dans:
Since the release of its debut, ‘Time Is Now’ in 2005 Flash Republic has been fleshing out a musical vision that is only just hitting its considerable creative stride.
Foto na Dans is the result of creative self-expression that has not heeded to commercial influences, finding and establishing their own new significant sound in Afrikaans. Tickets: Adults R80p/p | Youth (6 -21) R55p/p | Botsoc R70p/p

Sunday 12th February - Going Back to The Crossroads:
The show is a musical journey through the history of the Blues movement with stories and music from the guys and gals that were there at the time.

Sunday 19th February - Taxi Violence / Machineri:
Taxi Violence have gone on to stake their rightful claim as one of South Africa’s most prized independent rock acts, rocking crowds, winning awards and gathering a legion of ardent followers wherever their music is heard.
Machineri’s sound is predominantly Blues-Rock. Sannie writes the songs and lyrics and borrows as much from literature and poetry as from real life and politics.

Sunday 26th February - The Cape Philharmonic Orchestra
The final concert of the Cape Town International Music Festival takes place Kirstenbosch this year. This international opera gala concert will be conducted by Richard Cock.
