Electro-jazz duo Goldfish will launch the 2006/2007 Appletiser Summer Sunset Concert season at Kirstenbosch in Cape Town with one of their trademark cutting-edge live remix performances.
McCully Workshop, one of South Africa's finest pop-rock bands who dominated the airwaves in the 70's and 80's, take to the stage after a 25 year absence on 3 December.
International pop super-group Watershed are next up on 10 December.
Following Watershed is the Glenn Miller Orchestra SA performing a special Christmas Swing concert on 24 December.
Renowned percussionist Frank Paco and his African-Latin band Tucan Tucan play their kaleidoscopic mix of Latino rhythms and African sounds on 1 January.
'The Godfather of SA Rock', Arno Carstens, is next up on 7 January followed by the up-and-coming indie rock band The Parlotones on 14 January.
Cape Town's well-loved Three Tenors: Matthew Overmeyer of 'Phantom' fame, Italian tenor Nikki Cencherle and Ronnie Theys will be performing a programme of great opera arias and duets on 21 January.
American folk legend and rock pioneer Shawn Philllips, fresh from a two-month sold-out tour of Canada and the US, appears on 28 January.
Afro-jazz guitarist and composer Max Vidima mixes Zulu and Zimbabwean musical traditions on 4 February.
The Cape Town Highlanders present a dynamic show which fuses African rhythm and Celtic tradition on 11 February.
Afrikaans punk rock band Fokofpolisiekar stop off at Kirstenbosch on 18 February on their national tour to promote their latest album 'Die Swanesang' followed by Afro-jazz guitar great Jimmy Dludlu on 25 February.
International indie pop star and actor Ike Moriz plays his brand of edgy, yet melodic pop/rock on 4 March.
The Cape Philharmonic Orchestra and guest conductor Richard Cock celebrate the lives and works of the composers Glinka, Grieg, Sibelius and Coates in a commemorative concert on 11 March.
The Rudimentals bring their unique blend of African ska to Kirstenbosch on 18 March followed by acoustic rockers Flat Stanley who will be showcasing their new album, due for release in early 2007, on 25 March.
