In celebration of this annual milestone Laborie Wine Farm, situated inthe heart of the Paarl Winelands, will be offering visitors to their Lazy Days Market on Saturday, 25 February, the opportunity to partake in this event.
Grape Stomping in the Cape Winelands
Experience harvesting the grapes from the vineyards where after you’ll get the opportunity to feel the grapes being crushed between your toes as you stomp the fruit in large wine barrels. This fun filled activity will take place from 08h00 until 10h00 at Laborie’s Cellar Door at a cost of R50 per person, and is limited to 50 people, so booking is essential. Your ticket includes the harvest activity, a bottle of water as well as a Laborie Lazy Days Market voucher to be redeemed on the day at one of the stalls.
Off to the farmer’s market

The popular lifestyle market offers visitors an exciting and varied selection of lifestyle goods. These include freshly baked breads, coffee, cheese, olives, honey, charcuterie and other exciting fresh local produce exhibitors. Enjoy a cup of freshly brewed coffee as you relax and unwind on the farm’s sprawling and immaculate lawn.
Although the primary focus is food, there promises to be something for everyone, from mouth watering food stalls to arts and craft stalls, as well as ample kiddies’ entertainment making this a great family event.
Laborie is one of the oldest operational wine farms in South Africa and produces some of the best Méthode Cap Classique bubblies; an array of award-winning wines as well as the Alambic brandy which has been named “Best Brandy in the World” for two consecutive years. Visitors can stay overnight in the tranquil guest house or enjoy a delicious meal at the recently launched Harvest at Laborie.
An exciting new addition to the farm’s many offerings is Cecil Skotnes art exhibition, featuring 30 works by this highly acclaimed South African artist, which has been partnered with the Laborie Limited Collection wines.
