New Year's Eve at Cafe Paradiso
Experience the pure pleasure of Cafe Paradiso's ambience for New Year's Eve 2008/2009 in Cape Town
Capetonians and visitors alike have enjoyed Café Paradiso’s hospitality since 1992. This Cape Town restaurant appeals to young and old, male and female, holidaymakers and business people alike, and is open for New Year’s Eve Dinner as 2008 becomes 2009.
Guests are welcome to enjoy a chilled glass of wine on the balcony, some afternoon tea with a slice of one of the mouth-watering cakes on display or a complete meal from the menu that offers a wide selection of French and South African dishes.
The wine list is extensive and particular care is taken to include estate and co-operative wines from the many regions in the Cape. The blackboards offer a wide range of older and specially cellared wines, as well as selections from some of the boutique-style wine producers.
The warm Mediterranean décor, friendly staff and magnificent view of the mountain and city centre will bring you back time and time again.
New Year’s Eve Dinner menu at Café Paradiso for 2008/2009:
On Arrival: Canapés Canapés and a complimentary Cocktail.
Adult menu
Starters: Vegetarian tartare with spicy yogurt dressing OR Springbok carpaccio with lemon dressing, rocket and parmesan shavings OR Prawns – pan-fried in lemon, garlic butter with avocado and rouille.
Main Course: Beef fillet, mushroom poêlee, potato duchesse, haricot bean fagot OR Franschhoek salmon trout with sorrel sauce, sweet potato puree and crunchy fennel OR Vegetarian Plate - Courgette and carrot tagliatelle with yoghurt sauce, mushroom poêlee and goats cheese bites.
Desserts: A selection of sweet temptations and cheese
Midnight: A glass of Pierre Jordan Brut
Kiddies menu
Main Course: Franschhoek salmon trout with potato duchesse, sweet potato puree and vegetables OR Beef fillet, potato duchesse, sweet potato puree and vegetables OR French pizza with bacon and onion.
Desserts: Ice-cream
