Not Even Once Extreme Skateboarding
Enjoy a day filled with adrenalin-pumping skateboarding action and rocking entertainment, all with the aim of defeating drug abuse
The Not Even Once Anti-Drug Campaign is organizing a day filled with extreme skateboarding and other exciting sports on 25 October 2008.
Also on offer will be a showcase of local music talent at the V&A Waterfront amphitheatre from 4pm till 6pm.
The event is an opportunity for the youth to involve themselves creatively and constructively, to meet people and have a great time as opposed to being easy targets for drug dealers on the street.
Join in the fun and enjoy the live entertainment including bands like Fight with Fire and Rock Circus.
Fight with Fire has graduated from opening shows for the likes of Bed on Bricks to main stage festival appearances alongside bands like The Narrow. Their debut album “Imminent” has just been released.
Thousands of children are experimenting with drugs and alcohol without realizing that it only may take one try to get addicted, and the Not Even Once Anti-Drug Campaign aims not only to bring across the message that drugs are deadly and destructive, but also to empower the youth with an alternative lifestyle to drugs.
Not Even Once is in its third year and has reached over 12,000 people since it was launched in 2006.
During the event at the V&A Waterfront the Drug Education Agency team will be available to the public for counseling, information about drugs and referrals.
