Go to Robertson Wine Valley and take it slow for a few days this August at the Robertson Slow Festival.
The Robertson Slow has been named the “Best wine route promotion 2007” by Graham Howe (Wine & Food Editor, Habitat).
The second Robertson Slow will take place from 8 to 10 August in the beautiful Robertson Wine Valley. Expect a variety of wineries from Ashton, Bonnievale, McGregor and Robertson and spend some time in their homes at their dining tables and on their farms…really slowly.
Some things to look forward to include dinners at the homes of winemaking families, enjoying some traditional Robertson Country fare like Waterblommetjie Bredie, Organic Tripe Stew, Leg of Springbok and Home-smoked Pork.
And as usual, wine will be the central attraction where you will have ample opportunity to meet winemakers to taste and discuss their wines.
The weekend getaway festival will also include some great options where you can learn to make pasta, cheese or salami.
The festival weekend is a definite must for any wine lover who enjoys life in the slow lane in the Western Cape.
