Sure Thing Fridays at The Dragon Room
Progressive house, electro and swing beatsat The Dragon Room
The restaurant is filled with South African history first established in 1756, used later in 1786 as a guard house to protect against enemies entering on the Camps Bay side.
This charming old world establishment was also used in 1817 as Lord Charles Somerset’s hunting lodge.
It is the second oldest building in Camps Bay, a National Monument and World Heritage Site.
With such an impressive past, the pressure is on to create a Roundhouse restaurant that matches the grandeur of its past.
The world renowned Chef, Ronan O’Dwyer promises to, “Create fantastic food of a caliber never seen before in Africa”.
You are promised to enjoy uncomplicated French cuisine and sample rare wines & spirits from one of South Africa’s finest collections.
On the menu will be a Coriander & black pepper encrusted fillet of tuna with a porcini and vanilla scented risotto and light lobster bisque.
That is just a little taste of what’s to come, from Camps Bay’s latest restaurant found in Kloof Road, Campsbay's The Glen. Savour the moment knowing that you too will become part of Roundhouse history.
