Looking for an unforgettable family day? Head to Cape Point where you can enjoy a jam-packed day of hiking, swimming, kayaking, mountain biking and more. There’s something for everyone in this expansive park with its dramatic views.
The Flying Dutchman Funicular is a quick and convenient way of reaching the look-out point at the lighthouse – something which should be done at least once in your lifetime. Here you can also learn about the various lighthouses and the history Cape Point holds while looking out over the sea that played silent witness to the ships that fell victim to the Cape of Storms. Stop by the shop at the bottom to pick up memorabilia of your trip.
After the adventures, a delicious meal can be enjoyed at the Two Oceans Restaurant, or bring a picnic and have a relaxing afternoon at one of the two dedicated picnic areas, then enjoy a swim in the tidal pool. Look out for ostrich and buck along the scenic drive through the park.
