The 2010 Lecture Series at Green Point Stadium

Focusing on the potential for economic investment & growth presented by the 2010 Soccer World Cup

The City of Cape Town’s Director of Coordination for the 2010 World Cup, Teral Cullen, will on 28 August speak about the potential for economic investment and growth presented by the 2010 FIFA World Cup stadium in Cape Town, the surrounding R120 million urban park and areas beyond.

As part of the City Of Cape Town’s 2010 team, Teral was involved with the new Green Point stadium project since its inception. This included the Environmental Impact Assessment and the procurement of the professional team phases.

She has also been integrally involved in the procurement of the stadium operator phase. She coordinated the 2010 business plan for Cape Town and the Western Cape, which secured the largest budget for stadium construction in South Africa.

Several revisions of the business plan has ensured investment of over R7 billion from 3 spheres of government.

Teral will speak about her work on 28 August, which will be followed by a guided tour of the 2010 Green Point Stadium construction site.

The 2010 Lecture Series is a bi-monthly series of lectures by speakers who are integrally involved in the planning and implementation of national projects towards 2010, whose views are of special interest to the public.

Do not miss these lectures; they provide an excellent opportunity to get the positive side about what 2010 brings.

Previous 2010 Lecture Series included topics such as the events: Architecture of Green Point Stadium and Project Managing a Legacy.

Molo Says: “As a team that consists of both South Africans and 'foreigners' that have a good insight on the developments regarding the 2010 World Cup, we can strongly recommend these evenings, as well as the tours of the stadium.”
