Enjoy a feast of Oriental Dance

The Festival has become more and more popular and attractive for local as well for international performers. It is an excellent place for enthusiasts to share their knowledge, love, joy and experience in Oriental Dance.

On the opening night, audiences can witness spectacular dance performance where professional dancers will perform. This charity event is in aid of the Saartjie Baartman Centre for abused Women and Children in Athlone. The gala kicks off at 20:00 at Hugo Lambrechts Auditorium in Parow.

An incredible 20 hours is dedicated to dance workshops and 10% of every workshop booked is also donated to the Saartije Baartman Centre for (abused) Women and Children. These workshops start and end at various times, depending on the class you booked for and are held at the Protea Hotel in Sea Point.

The last two days, known as the Fringe Program, promise beautiful performances from local and international dancers of all levels from beginners to master. Try belly dancing lessons, try drumming, shop at the bazaar, taste good food, feel good and just enjoy yourself. The venue is the V&A Waterfront, the Craft Market, the Blue Shed, under a Moroccan tent and Amphitheatre.
