The Baby Expo will be in the Mother City from 30 October to 1 November 2009 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.
The Baby Expo creates the perfect environment to learn about pregnancy, being a great parent and building a wholesome, active lifestyle for your family, all while having a fun day out.
Barney, the world’s best loved dinosaur will be appearing at The Cape Town Baby Expo 2009. As the only exhibition in South Africa to hold live Barney performances, The Cape Town Baby Expo is the place to be for Barney lovers of all ages. Remember that should you wish to attend one of the Barney & Friends shows at no extra cost, you would need to reserve your seat when purchasing your entrance tickets for The Baby Expo Cape Town.
Barney has many friends and seats are limited, so book your seats now to avoid missing out on one of the greatest kids shows. Seating is unreserved and entrance to the Barney & Friends Show will open approximately 30 minutes before the show starts.
The Kids Kitchen is a new feature that will be launched at The Baby Expo 2009. The fully functional kitchen will include a working area, kids demo area and visitor seating. The area will be a continuous hub of activity, in a semi-enclosed casual environment, with live food demos and nutritional workshops.
Breastfeeding is a private and quiet time, and an opportunity for mum and baby to bond. This is why private rooms for mums to feed their babies will be available. There will also be bottle warming stations for mums to warm up their little one's bottles while on the run.
The Baby Expo Cape Town knows what it’s like to be a parent on the go, and so Pampers have set up rooms with nappy changing in mind. These rooms take away the stressful queues of restrooms, and provide a spot where you can change your baby quickly and comfortably.
Healthy kids are always full of energy, so there will be a playground for kids. This is a great chance for your kids to play and interact with other children, and learn to share and make friends. It is fully monitored by child minders so that mum and dad can relax while the kids have fun.
Expose yourself to workshops designed to help make life easier and also to educate and inform you so you can be an even better superhero than you already are. Workshops on play therapy, sleeping habits, parenting tips and so much more will be offered to parents this year.
The Baby Expo has invited a number of key speakers to address parents at the expo and booking is not required. However seating is limited, and it is suggested that you come early to avoid disappointment. The experts are well known and respected within their various industries and are looking forward to chatting with you at the expos.
