The Cederberg Escape Mountain Bike Classic
Join us as mountain bikers take on some of the most scenic locations in the Western Cape's Cederberg Mountains
As much as we would like to say that this is a relaxing, rejuvenating ‘escape’ from the hustle and bustle of city life in the quiet and majestic Cederberg, we cannot, as the Cederberg Escape is the exact opposite.
The Cederberg Escape will see riders embark on a fully supported 3-day mountain biking classic for individual riders.
The race’s route consists of three out and back loops from an Absa Cape Epic-style race village set at Sanddrif, on the banks of the Dwars River, taking cyclists through some of the most scenic and picturesque locations in the Western Cape’s Cederberg.
Daily cycling distances vary from 60 – 90 km per day, but don’t be fooled; it includes some challenging mountain biking on rugged terrain with plenty of single track.
The race starts at 7 am each morning, allowing for plenty of time to relax and chill in the natural rock pools in the afternoon and of course book a massage.
