Toy Drive 2008

'Tis the season for giving

It’s that time of year again where the spirit of giving is at its strongest.

This festive season there will be many people for whom the Christmas cheer is not all that it could be, but with your help they could also have a little light in their lives. The 2008 Toy Drive is a project that aims to "raise toys" for the following hospital and orphanages:
  • Red Cross Childen's Hospital
  • St Josephs Home
  • St George's home for Girls
  • St Annes

Shana Kassiem, the organiser of the event, is hoping to set a world record for collecting the highest number of toys in one effort/project.

Your support for the Toy Drive project would be greatly appreciated, and all you need to do to be a part of it is attend the collection function and donate a toy of any value (or cash, if you prefer).

Sponsorship for the collection function is needed in the form of a venue, snacks and drinks. Shana is also in the process of developing a website and will gladly list sponsors on the site, which is located at www.toydrive.co.za.

If you can assist, or know of anyone who can, please contact Shana:
