The OUTsurance 94.5 KFM Gun Run

In this run, there’s no route but the scenic route...

Since its inception in 1993 the Gun Run has proved itself to be a favorite on the South African road running circuit, time and time again. Last year a record field of 11000 participants joined in on the half-marathon, 10km run/walk and 5km run/walk. It’s no surprise that the Gun Run is always a hit considering the fact that it winds its way through some of the most picturesque and iconic scenery that Cape Town has to offer.

This year’s route starts off at the magnificent Cape Town Stadium, goes around the lighthouse then through the glorious V&A Waterfront, on to the sea-and-mountain-side streets of Three Anchor Bay to Clifton before turning around and ending at Green Point Park… mountain, city, sea; this run has it all.

Every year the Gun Run raise thousands of Rands for a selected charity. Entry forms will be available at Sportsman Warehouse branches across the province towards the end of July. The half marathon starts at 7am, the 10km run/walk starts at 7:30am and the 5km fun run/walk starts at 8:30am.
