This is what we know so far: There will be a burger festival at the main rugby field of Jan Van Riebeeck High School, De Hoop Avenue on Saturday, 13 and Sunday, 14 February 2016. It will be awesome. It will involve some of the tastiest patties and buns our side of the southern hemisphere. Sounds good so far, doesn’t it?
The vendors for the event have yet to be announced but there are whispers of IYO, NOB, Royale, Sticky Fingers, The Dog’s Bollocks and 25 of the city’s other top-notch patty providers flitting across the event’s Facebook page. There are also promises of cocktails, beers and other beverages perfectly paired to bring out optimal burger flavour, with 10 wine estates, 10 craft breweries, and some coffee and cocktail stands all bringing their magical flavours to the festival.
TICKETS TO THE 2016 BURGER FESTIVAL AT JAN VAN RIEBEECK HIGH SCHOOL
Tickets are available online via Quicket.co.za and will cost R55p/p per day for the Early Bird tickets. Prices for the other tickets are yet to be released but will come out on Monday, 18 January 2016.
We’ll keep you posted when we know more – sign up to our newsletter for meaty updates on ticket sales and other key information. For now, head over to the event’s website to see which suppliers will be there.
