Each Thursday from 16 February to 9 March 2017, the incredibly talented John Bauer invites you to let your creative flag fly at his ceramic workshop at the Montebello Design Centre in Newlands.
You’ll learn the basics of ceramic crafts, as well as more complex and decorative techniques that’ll take your creation to a whole new level. The master will take you through shaping, moulding, painting, and pretty much the whole creation process
At these workshops, you’ll be making pinch pot goblets and teacups. The additional extra is the gold luster. The technique of using gold to decorate small aspects of your creation requires some gold luster, which will cost R400. This is not included in the general cost of the workshops, but it’s well worth it when you see the end result!
On arrival, you’ll receive a lovely glass of wine, and a starting talk from John Bauer himself. This man knows all there is to know about ceramics and how to decorate them flawlessly; if you listen to him, you certainly won’t go wrong!
BOOKINGS FOR THE 2017 CERAMIC CLASSES WITH JOHN BAUER IN NEWLANDS
Bookings for these classes can be made by contacting the organisers directly on +27 (0)72 145 8433 or dropping them an email - john@johnbauerart.com.
This experience will cost R1200p/p, not including the gold luster, which can be purchased from John Bauer directly on the night for R400.
The class will start at 6pm and will end at 7:30pm.
