See the latest on the catwalks in all-day fashion shows, attend short films, talks and product launches. Above all, be awed by the creative spirit of innovative South Africans.
A multi-sectoral celebration of diversity, the Design Indaba Expo includes advertising, architecture, craft, décor, film, fashion, graphic design, interior design, jewellery, new media, publishing, product design and visual media. All work is conceived and manufactured in South Africa.
Every one of the more than 260 exhibitors is vetted and approved by an advisory panel of top South African designers, stylists, critics and industry experts to ensure that only original, contemporary and innovative products are showcased.
The credibility of this approach to quality control is confirmed by the annual presence of over 200 prominent international buyers and influential journalists at the event.
Design Indaba is committed to the vision that a better future can be designed, and firmly believes that creativity can expand South Africa’s economy.
Since its inception, the Design Indaba Expo has established itself as the premier platform for South African designers to showcase creative goods and services to the global market, wowing local consumers as well as stimulating export further afield.
This year we will all be treated to the legendary Martha Stewart who is an American business magnate, television host, author and magazine publisher.
In 2001, Stewart was named the third most powerful woman in America by Ladies Home Journal.

Kids Workshops
Every year visitors to the Design Indaba Expo bring their young ones hoping to open their eyes to a growing creative industry. So Design Indaba has decided that 2010 is for the kids.
Taking place from the 26 to 28 February 2010, the Design Indaba Expo has scheduled a number of creative workshops and activities for parents and children to take part in.
But this is not just all play and no work. Kids and their parents will need to think out the box as they are challenged to make the most of their creativity. Each activity will work to build confi dence in both children and parents as they are inspired to think of their own ideas to be unique and innovative in their creations.
This is a chance for kids, students and parents to unleash creative potential, soak up information communicated in their own language and be stimulated by abundant activities at Design Indaba 2010.
Creativity that knows no bounds. This is what the Design Indaba Expo is all about.
Entry fee to the DEsign Indaba is R50p/p | Kids U12 is R20p/p | Babies U 2 is free
