Saturday Psyde Show ft. Bizzare Contact
A “Bizzare” encounter at Cape Town’s latest trance club
Crayfish - in most of South Africa - is a delicacy only enjoyed on special occasions.
But once a year - a definite must on any Capetonian’s events calendar - this crayfish festival takes place in the (usually quiet) picturesque town of Lamberts Bay.
Lamberts Bay is situated on the Cape’s beautiful West Coast and once a year people get to feast, indulge and enjoythe freshest crayfish to the background noise of the annual rock concert.
Not only do you get to become a total crayfish glutton for one weekend, but you also get to live on the edge with bungee jumping, enjoy the horizon with aerial displays, run off all you’ve eaten with the half-marathon or maybe indulge some more with good friends at the beer tents.
This festival is fun for the whole family, so if you weren’t aware of this tantalizing annual festival then best make a note of it now, and head to the Cape West Coast for a weekend of fun-filled feasting this April.
Directions to Lamberts Bay:
The drive to Lamberts Bay is so beautiful - with unspoiled white beaches against beautiful blue skies – that just the drive there will make this festival totally worth it.
Take the N7 from Cape Town. Follow the N7 to Malmesbury and continue directly on this route passing the towns of Moorreesburg, Piketberg and Citrusdal.
About 57km from Citrusdal turn towards Clanwilliam (just after the dam). Take this turn-off and continue on the R364 to Lamberts bay (60 km). Lamberts Bay is approximately 290 km from Cape Town.
The festival commences on Thursday at 16:00 til wee hours of the morning and ends at approximately 14:00 on Sunday.
