Sure Thing Fridays at The Dragon Room
Progressive house, electro and swing beatsat The Dragon Room
Join Theuns Jordaan, Waldo Lotz, the Boulevard Blues Band and many more on Saturday, 6 March 2010 for a day of jam-packed performances and activities for the entire family.
Theuns Jordaan - who is one of South Africa’s most loved musicians - will be the performance not to be missed. In May 2009 Theuns released his most recent CD entitled Kouevuur, which is a tribute to the music of Koos du Plessis.
Music lovers and fans alike all agree that no-one interprets his music better than Theuns himself. Since being released, the CD has reached far beyond the 50 000 sales mark and also received the Huisgenoot Tempo award for best contemporary album.
Due to the popularity of the album, Jordaan will be performing all the music from his Kouevuur album at the Kookwaterfees. He will be accompanied by Anton L’Armour on guitar, who is a master in his own right. Jordaan and L’Armour have come a long way in the music industry and have worked together on the hits “Vreemde Stad” and “Tjailatyd”.
The day kicks-off at 10:00 with a performance by Momentus, followed by Dewald van der Merwe and Waldo Lotz. Later in the day Miss Caledon 2010 will be crowned.
The programme for the day includes a flea market, cheese and wine tasting, a beer garden and tons of kids’ entertainment. All Super 14 rugby fans can rest assured as the Stormers vs. Highlanders game will be broadcasted from all watering holes.
Caledon Casino, Hotel and Spa’s well-known mineral rich Khoisan pools will be open to all attending the festival during the day. So pack your picnic basket, blanket and bikini and head for the Klein Swartberg Mountains.
Tickets are R100 for Adults | R50 for 13-17yrs | Free for Children Under 12.
