Cape Town pop duo Locnville is set to become South Africa’s latest music export
The talented 20-year old identical twins, Andrew and Brian Chaplin will perform two local concerts before jetting off to Europe to promote their debut album Sun in my Pocket.
The shows will be held at the Carnival City Big Top Arena on Friday 6 August and at the GrandWest Grand Arena on Sunday 8 August.
The brothers caught the attention of record producers at Sony Records, who will be releasing their album worldwide next month. The infectious title track has raced to the top of the local charts and the album has already sold over 40 000 units since its release in February this year.
Andrew and Brian are related to the great Charlie Chaplin. Shortly after their birth in New York City their South African father relocated the family to Cape Town, where the brothers grew up.
They describe themselves as singer-songwriters and drummer guitarists, whose early music influence came from the bands Pink Floyd and Oasis.
