Have yourself a merry little Christmas in the beautiful setting of Steenberg estate on Thursday, 17 December 2015 when it’s time for the farm’s annual Christmas Carols event ‘Tis the season to sing along to all your favourite carols, while soaking up sensational views and enjoying the eggnog-custard-smooth sounds of Kevin Abbott’s voice.
No holly, jolly festive season is complete without carolling and Abbott and his band will deliver rich renditions of nostalgic Christmas hits such as ‘The First Noel’, ‘Away in a Manger’ and ‘Once in Royal David’s City.’ The six-piece band combines adept instrumentals with stunning vocals, and include both humour and reverence in their performance to create a relaxed, happy atmosphere.
Aside from the music, guests can also anticipate a glass of complimentary wine on arrival. There will also be an abundance of food on sale to keep up the good cheer. Alternatively, picnicking is encouraged, so be sure to pack a basket of treats and eats to enjoy on the sprawling lawns in front of Catharina’s Restaurant on the estate. There’s also wine available at cellar door prices for those seeking some extra merriment.
