The Curious Incident will be launching their new album “Fatal Descriptive Attraction” at The Assembly on Wednesday the 7th April. Their music is a mash of stoner rock, dark funk and soul.
Frontman Kyle Roberts describes: The Curious Incident is a conversation in music, with the aim to make it a two-way conversation.
But people often are thinking about what they are going to say next whilst the other person is talking. oh well...The band formed in late 2009 when Kyle convinced Adrian to do this Curious thing properly. Then we got Josh. We like Josh. We had a drummer - great drummer. Less than great band member. Dead now. With a spoon. Hope it didn't hurt too much.
Now we are trying to let many people hear our music and then decide whether they want to love us or hate us. If they love us we hope they will tell everyone on the internet about us. And in the queue at McDonalds. Don't order the salads.
If they hate us we hope that they will kindly lie and tell everyone on the internet that we are their favorite band in the world. Or at least in South Africa. This could be considered acting training.
We're trying to mash together stoner rock, dark funk and soul. Hope you like mash.
Converse with us The Curious Incident on facebook & twitter. If you do it at the same time we might get confused. But it will be happy confused. Like the smell of pancakes in the shower."
The Assembly presents a mash of great bands and Dj’s:
- HOLIDAY MURRAY
- THE BONE COLLECTORS
- CAPTAIN STU
- THE BONE COLLECTORS
- MARKUS WORMSTORM
Entrance is R40 per person if you dress up and R50 per person for the slightly cautious folk.
