Las Vegas-styled Cabaret at its best!

A leggy line-up of dancers, great music and vocals, an acrobatic act and a comical magician bring Vegas energy and glamour to the Diamonds and Divas cabaret at GrandWest’s Roxy Revue Bar from 28 May to 17 July, Wednesday to Saturday.

The mini-extravaganza plays out against opulently designed backdrops and props.  The audience can expect to see beautiful dancers literally framed in gold, suspended from umbrellas, cavorting in life-sized champagne glasses or inside bird cages.

Agile dancers glide through acrobatic movements and dance routines and the professional choreography embraces all disciplines of dance from classical ballet to salsa, hip hop, jazz funk and more.

The show has taken over a year to produce and this careful planning is evidenced in the multitude of rainbow-coloured costumes.  In addition to traditional high heels and fishnet stockings, the audience will be treated to a swathe of lame, leather, shimmering silk, sequins and feathers, all adding to the visual spectacle of each performance.

Constant interaction between the seven dancers and the illusionist Colin Underwood creates a show that is visually exciting and fast paced. 

The music completes the mood with tracks from Diva’s such as Katy Perry, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, Cascada, Kings of Leon, Muse and Pink, among others. Vocals are supplied by Ann-Marie Clullow, who appeared as one of the lead singers in the musical Cats and was the South African understudy for Phantom of the Opera.
