Locally and internationally acclaimed ventriloquist comedian Conrad Koch brings his deranged dummies to On Broadway! Directed by theatrical and comedic maestro Heinrich Reisenhofer this manic one man, many-voiced monologue promises to Koch Up South Africa's puppet politics.
Expect ventriloquism at its hysterical best, as a mammoth party monster, an alcoholic ostrich, a dude called Chester, and a Julius Malema action figure battle it out in ninety-odd minutes of comedy schizophrenia.
Conrad's Koch Up takes his characters even further with world class puppets, new routines, and cutting, current material. With an MA in Social Anthropology this is intelligent humour at its accessible best.
The Independent of London newspaper reckons Conrad “brings the roof down”, the Mail and Guardian said he's “hilarious” ... provided his peeved mannequins let him get through the show.
