SA Cocktail Week |
By now you should have heard of, if not already purchased your tickets for, the first ever SA Cocktail Week that will be taking the Mother City by storm from Friday, 28 October to Sunday, 6 November 2016. Several famous brands and even more local bars and hotspots will take part in the 10-day celebration of creative cocktails, showcasing the variety of the city’s hangouts.
For the duration of the penultimate day of SA Cocktail Week (Saturday, 5 November 2016), revellers will get the chance to sip and sample on some of the delectable and refreshing concoctions that will be expertly mixed by the bar staff. A Toast to Summer goes down at the Cape Town Hotel School in Granger Bay from 11am to 10pm, and you’re invited to spend a day in the sun with unique drinks in-hand.
The summer fiesta will play host to a fantastic selection of famous brands and local pop-up bars, such as Jim Beam, Courvoisier, World Class Spirit Portfolio, Mokai, Cape Town Gin Company, Wilderer Distillery, Woodstock Gin Company and Harald’s Bar from the Park Inn Foreshore, to name a few. Each of these bars and brands will whip up their own once-off cocktails that are exclusive to SA Cocktail Week.
Get into the swing of summer as the live music thumps and the ice-cold beverages flow, but be responsible. Drinking and driving is never an option, so SA Cocktail Week has teamed up with Uber to ensure you can get home safely after the party. Use the code SACW2016 and get R150 off your first ride with Uber.
TICKETS TO THE 2016 SA COCKTAIL WEEK: A TOAST TO SUMMER IN GRANGER BAY
Tickets to SA Cocktail Week can be purchased online via Computicket.com for R190p/p. These tickets give you access to all of the limited edition cocktail creations at the participating bars, hotels and restaurants across Cape Town. Remember, that you absolutely must exchange your ticket for a wrist band at The Honey Badger on Loop Street from Monday, 17 October 2016 onwards. You can collect them from Monday to Friday from 10am to 6pm and on Saturday from 11am to 3pm. No wrist band equals no cocktails.
Ticket holders are entitled to a 10% discount on B&B accommodation from Park Inn by Radisson Blu. Part of the proceeds from SA Cocktail Week will be donated to Hands of Hope Centre in Parow, which is dedicated to helping those children that struggle with adapting to the mainstream education system. All children have a right to learn, and Hands of Hope is assisting those that need a helping hand along the way.
