Let the beer flow! The Stellenbosch Craft Beer Festival opens its taps in this vibrant student town at the Jan Marais Nature Reserve on Saturday, 14 October 2017 to satisfy the sort of thirst that only brew drinkers know.
The premier beer festival in the winelands returns to bring family and friends together for a fun-filled day of great beer, some of the best food trucks around, and a lekker jol. “We started the festival because we like beer and because there’s nothing like this in Stellenbosch,” says festival organiser Dawid Fourie. The ale extravaganza will bring the amber nectar of many craft breweries together under one roof, and will also throw some tasty grub and upbeat live music into the mix.
As for the quality and flavour of the various types of liquid gold, well, you’ll have to taste them all and decide for yourself. After all, this festival is first and foremost about exploring different styles and learning about what our local brewmasters have to offer, even if the students from the nearby Stellenbosch University have different ideas about its purpose.
