Wine and pizza are clearly a match made in heaven; so if you happen to be a fan of both, how could you possibly resist this tasty affair? The name says it all; a day spent in stunning Stellenbosch with wine to relax you and pizza to fill you up. This year’s edition will be bigger and better.
Stellenbosch is an enchanting place to be at the best of times, and now comes an event that will surely lure you into the vineyards that surround this quaint and picturesque town. Stellenbosch is only 45 minutes outside of Cape Town, and this festival is the perfect excuse to make the drive. Starting on Saturday, 25 March 2017, the event is being held at Welmoed Farm, home of Stellenbosch Vineyards. Tickets are available for both the Saturday, 25, and Sunday, 26 March, with the festivities commencing at 10am.
Your R120 ticket includes entrance to the event, a complimentary tasting glass, and tasting coupons for your enjoyment. Additional coupons can be purchased at the event, with a diverse selection of wines on offer. Tickets are bought for a specific day, with one ticket being valid for one day of the event. Both vegetarian and banting pizzas will be available at the festival; so there is definitely no excuse to miss out!
Not such a fan of pizza? The festival will also have a large selection of other foods including sushi, asian food, burgers, kiddies food, delicious local meats and of course, more than just our fair share of delicious desserts. The wines of Stellenbosch Vineyard are sensational on a normal day, and in honour of the event, they are offering their signature range, along with the Welmoed Wine Farm hand crafted heritage selection. As if that isn’t already enough, they've taken innovation to the next level with a selection of infused wine-based refreshments! To those patrons who have children; do not fear! There will be a range of fun-filled children’s activities to keep the little ones entertained. This event has everything you need for a fabulous weekend; pizza, bubbles, wine and diverse food options. Make sure you grab your tickets as soon as possible to ensure you don’t miss out!
